This qualification is suitable for learners working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions

what will I learn?
How to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace, and know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young persons has been abused.
 
How long is the course?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 10 hours, with 8 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). This course can be delivered as a 1-day course or 2 half-day sessions to suit your needs

Is your workplace responsible for safeguarding of  children?

We can support your workplace with a work shop at Level 1, Safeguarding Children and child protection course.
It  provides you and your team  the knowledge and skills you all need to safeguard children.
This course will cover all the local authority guidance and we will reflect in to your local area safeguarding partnerships. 

What will I learn?
Description the common types of abuse
How to recognise them, 
Signs and behaviors the child or young person may display
Responding to disclosures and reporting  your concerns. 
It also explains how to correctly report your concerns following your workplace policy's . 
 
The course uses a variety of written text, interactive activities, and real-life case studies to help you understand your responsibilities. 
 
How long will this workshop take?
Approximately 2 hours.
